A House Divided Cannot Stand

Luke 11:14-23

14 And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled. 15 But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” 16 Others, testing Him, sought from Him a sign from heaven. 17 But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. 18 If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub. 19 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 21 When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. 22 But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils. 23 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

This is an amazing passage. It clearly shows us the importance of having the same vision cast throughout your organization. It can be your business or ministry, but it is crucial for the success of any organization to have the same vision. You can look at any successful organization and you will find that they walked in unity and shared the same vision. If an organization is divided against itself, it will fall.

Jesus makes a remarkable statement; If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Is that not amazing. Satan must be unified in his vision toward man and this earth. If he is not, and he is divided, he will fall. Now I know what you are saying! I thought we win in the end? Yes we do. But for us to be successful in our walk with the Lord we must share the same vision. That was Jesus point. Whatever organization you are in, whether you are the leader or layman, you must carry the same vision as your organization or you will cause division. God does not like division. If you find yourself in a situation were your vision is different than the organization, get in your prayer closet and hear the Lord's voice so he can direct your path. Find the vision and stay focused.

This is a vital point! So many people involve themselves with people and organizations in which they have no clue as to the foundation on which it was built or insight into where the vision is going. "Be equally yoked..." I beieve that this word also lines up with what God has been speaking to me for a while regarding making a choice. "Choose this day, whom you will serve." The only division ordained by God will be the great awarness to come to all men, of the seperation between light and dark. "Be either hot or cold, for if you are luke warm I will spue you from my mouth." That time is now! People will make a conscious decision to walk in spirit or in flesh; Sadly, so many will choose death. You wont be able to mistake God's remnant in this time. They will walk in peace, joy, faith...all the fuit of the spirit. All the world will marvel as his people are exalted of him! Praise him all ye people!
