A Passion For God

Lets pray for our children today, that the Lord instill in our kids a soul that followeth hard after Him; and a heart that clings passionately to Him. I pray that they will not follow other voices, only the Fathers voice will they listen to and follow all the days of their lives. I thank the Father in heaven that they abide in the secret place of the most high God. I say they will live in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "You are their place of safety and protection. You are their God and they will trust you." God will save them from hidden traps and from deadly diseases. He will cover them with his feathers, and under his wings they can hide. His truth will be their shield and protection. They will not fear any danger by night or an arrow during the day. They will not be afraid of diseases that come in the dark or sickness that strikes at noon. At their side one thousand people may die, or even ten thousand right beside them, but they will not be hurt. They will only watch and see the wicked punished. The Lord is their protection; they have made God Most High their place of safety. Nothing bad will happen to them; no disaster will come to their home. He has put his angels in charge of them to watch over them wherever they go. 12 They will catch them in their hands so that they will not hit their foot on a rock. They will walk on lions and cobras; they will step on strong lions and snakes. The Lord says, "Whoever loves me, I will save. I will protect those who know me. They will call to me, and I will answer them. I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them. 16 I will give them a long, full life, and they will see how I can save."

Amen

1 Lord, I trust in you; let me never be disgraced. Save me because you do what is right. 2 Listen to me and save me quickly. Be my rock of protection, a strong city to save me. 3 You are my rock and my protection. For the good of your name, lead me and guide me. Psalm 31:1-3

What Is Possible

1 To Theophilus.
The first book I wrote was about everything Jesus began to do and teach2 until the day he was taken up into heaven. Before this, with the help of the Holy Spirit, Jesus told the apostles he had chosen what they should do.3 After his death, he showed himself to them and proved in many ways that he was alive. The apostles saw Jesus during the forty days after he was raised from the dead, and he spoke to them about the kingdom of God. 4 Once when he was eating with them, he told them not to leave Jerusalem. He said, "Wait here to receive the promise from the Father which I told you about. 5 John baptized people with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
Jesus Is Taken Up into Heaven 6 When the apostles were all together, they asked Jesus, "Lord, are you now going to give the kingdom back to Israel?"
7 Jesus said to them, "The Father is the only One who has the authority to decide dates and times. These things are not for you to know. 8 But when the Holy Spirit comes to you, you will receive power. You will be my witnesses—in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world."
9 After he said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud hid him from their sight.10 As he was going, they were looking into the sky. Suddenly, two men wearing white clothes stood beside them.11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? Jesus, whom you saw taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you saw him go."

Think "impossible" and dreams get discarded, projects get abandoned , and hope for wellness is torpedoed. But let someone yell the words "It's possible," and resources we hadn't been aware of come rushing in to assist us in our quest. I believe we are all potentially brilliant and creative--but only if we believe it, only if we have an attitude of positive expectancy toward our ideas, and only if we act on them.

Don't Worry, Be Happy!!

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances."

Come Home

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18:12-14 NKJV

Isn't that wonderful to know , if you go astray He will come looking for you. It doesn't matter how far you go He is still awaiting your return. King David said; even if I made my bed in hell, He would be there. He is standing at the door of your heart today inviting you to come back into the kingdom. How about it?

God is calling watchmen in this day and time. Is He calling you? Will you join the cause? Can you stand with Him for a night. Will He find any faith when He returns?

Courage

Scripture Above: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (sound mind). So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me His prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 2 Timothy 1:7-8
God wants us to be courageous in all of our endeavours. Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us to be strong and courageous in our character and actions. He is calling us out of our comfort zones to do the impossible. Will you except the challenge? He will be with you!

Bless the Lord

A Psalm of David.

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6 The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, 18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them. 19 The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. 21 Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure. 22 Bless the LORD, all His works, In all places of His dominion.

Bless the LORD, O my soul!

God, my heart is steady;
I will sing and praise you with all my being.
Wake up, harp and lyre!
I will wake up the dawn.
Lord, I will praise you among the nations;
I will sing songs of praise about you to all the nations.
Your great love reaches to the skies,
your truth to the heavens.
God, you are supreme above the skies.
Let your glory be over all the earth.
