Faith to Accomplish the Impossible

Matthew 21:18-22 (New King James Version)
18 Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. 19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.
The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” 21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

I believe that we are in a season of Faith. What I mean by that is we are in a place in our lives, at this point in time, where we will have to make a choice. A choice to follow our God given dreams which will require great faith or give into the voices of defeat telling us we can not do it. It’s easy to think you can accomplish what God has told you while you are in Church, immersed in the corporate anointing. It’s on Monday & Tuesday when you are alone and you have heard someone tell you that you can’t do that, you can’t accomplish that, no one in our family has ever been able to do that. What about when your circumstances tell you that you can’t accomplish anything or what God has called you to do is impossible. How about your finances dictating to you what you can and can’t do!

In Matthew we see a principle of success. You must believe your words are faith filled words, powerful, and can move mountains. "Moving mountains" was a Jewish metaphor for accomplishing what was difficult or virtually impossible. We can do the impossible, we can succeed, and we can accomplish that goal. If it does not seem possible, speak to yourself words of encouragement, faith filled words. Call those things that are not as though they are and put your stake in the ground today and watch that mountain move. It’s not going to be easy. It is going to take discipline, courage, and staying in connection with the Lord. Anything worth having cost you something! You are made of great stuff, after Gods image. Wow! That says it all. We are made in His image and the same spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, dwells in us and quickens or mortal bodies. So you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Speak to the mountains that are in front of you now, take authority over them and cast them out of your life and occupy the territory God has given you. You can do the impossible.

Be Blessed!
